The Challenge:
The major design challenge
for this product revolved around the hinges and support arms of the display
screen for this innovative product. The unit was required to have three
operating modes: notebook, tablet, and presentation mode.
The Result:
Working closely with several
well-established hinge vendors, multiple prototypes were produced and
refined through rigorous testing. Another issue was the display interface
cable routing and placement of the inverter for the LCD. Again working
with multiple external vendors, leveraging the resources and experience
of several well-established cable vendors, prototype cables were produced.
These cables were tested and refined incrementally, in the end allowing
this unique product to meet its operating and longevity requirements.
